attacking football with many goals involved.
There are only 6 only fixtures left before the end of the regular season and the beginning of
the play offs however, the only thing we ''know'', is who the champion ''again'' will be.
In 94 games played so far, 42 ended with Home wins, 29 with Away wins and 23 games
with draw. The average goals per game is 2.96 and is typical in this League.
Having said that, WPL has changed a lot during recent years as most of the teams have
strengthened their squads and start.... defending!
There is a significant drop of goals since the season 2012-2013 when the average of goals
was 3.41 in the end of the regular season, 3.18 in 2013-2014, it went slightly up in 2014 -
2015 with 3.36 and the biggest decline so far last with ''just'' 2.88 goals per game.
Aberystwyth v Bala Town The weather conditions are fabulous for football across Wales
today and nothing reminds of the horrific weather six days ago. Aberystwyth and other
areas were hit by much like a tornado as many claim. It is our wish for these people there
to never experience such an event again.
The Seasiders look forward to this 're match' and perhaps a payback for the 4-0 defeat a
few weeks ago. Nevertheless, a positive result against Bala Town will be only good news
and see them moving further from the bottom places of the leader-board.
The Lakesiders in the other hand, are cruising on the top spots of the league and their goal
is to join the Europa League competition next year. Their current form in WPL games is
great and they suffered losses only by TNS so far.
The favourite in this game is the visitors however, they have a handful of players uncertain
for the today's game and perhaps that would be an obstacle for their win. Hopefully, we'll
have an open game with goals from both teams and the Over 3.5 goals tip will land.
Cefn Druids v Newtown Match of the day in my opinion! The Ancients (Druids) are a
tough nut to crack and they don't lose easily despite their low position on the leader board.
They have drew 7 times so far and this fact alone says a lot. This is a must win game for
them but the only obstacle is Newtown's current form which is superb!
I totally agree with the bookies by giving the edge to the visitor's team but I think also the
Draw factor is high as well. I will take my chances by backing Over 3.5 goals in this game
because in my view, Druids can 'influence' Newtown to play open and attacking football,
specially if there is an early goal in the game.
Rhyl v Connahs Quay Initially it looks easy when the visitors and 2nd best attacking line in
the league faces the worst defence and unstable in performance Rhyl. What makes it tricky
though in my opinion, is the H2H which shows that Connahs struggles when playing away
against the LillyWhites.
Furthermore, I will ignore their respectable defeat against TNS but their defeat against
Newtown raised some concerns. Not sure what's going on in terms of injuries and I will
back the Over 2.5 goals. Let the best team win!
The New Saints v Airbus UK Under different circumstances that would be a derby to
analyse but for well know reasons, the Airbus club has a lot of issues and is such a
disappointment to see a once upon a time leading club, battling at the bottom of the leader
board. I am not bothered (betting-wise) in this game at all because TNS can do as they
wish.
Feeling a bit adventurous and going after the Big Score? All 3 top games could end with a
high score result and an Over 4.5 goals Treble/Patent pays out very generously.
